On a sweltering summer day in 2000, shortly after arriving in the U.S., I stood on a range with a Vietnam veteran named Robin. We were shooting competitive shotgun, and the process was frustratingly archaic. Every time a steel target fell, the line went cold. We had to lay down our weapons and trek through the heat just to reset a piece of metal.
Having seen the realities of conflict firsthand, I knew that training needed to be more than just static targets and manual resets. It needed to be dynamic, realistic, and—most importantly—smart.
I spent the next two decades applying my engineering background to that single problem. What started as an idea on a hot range has evolved through 24 years of testing, CNC prototyping, and logic programming. Today, I build Smart Tactical Targets that move, turn, and self-reset, allowing professional shooters to stay on the line and focus on what matters: the scenario, not the hardware.
